Stenungsund municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential areas close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region's municipal association, which is a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.

The municipality is organized into a management structure with four sectors. The Education Sector includes preschools and primary schools with associated school-age childcare, special schools, high schools, adult education, and Culture and Leisure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Stenungsund municipality is currently seeking substitute teachers for preschools, primary schools, and leisure centers. Here, you will make an important contribution to help children and students develop, learn, and grow based on their own conditions.

You control when you want to work by making yourself available on the days and times you wish to work in a program called Time Care Pool. In the program, you also have the opportunity to see which shifts are available in the future and express your interest in them.

As a substitute, you may be booked on short notice to replace regular staff. No day is the same, which makes the job both challenging and rewarding.

The education in preschool should provide children with safe care and lay the foundation for their security and self-esteem. In preschool, we work with the youngest children aged 1-5 years.

You will work with:

  • Participating in children's play and activities, indoors and outdoors
  • Supporting children in their development
  • Engaging with the preschool curriculum Lpfö 18

The education in primary school and leisure centers should provide students with safe care and lay the foundation for their security and self-esteem. In primary schools and leisure centers, we work with children aged 6-16 years.

You may work with:

  • Conducting your own lessons
  • Assisting with indoor and outdoor activities
  • Helping and supporting children in their development according to the curriculum
  • Being responsible for the operations at the leisure center together with regular staff; at certain times of the day, you may be solely responsible

You will gain valuable work experience and a unique insight into various operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who can work on short notice.

  • You need to be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as communication is one of our most important tools.
  • You are expected to have a good attitude towards both children, students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • It is therefore very important that you have a positive view of people and good collaboration skills.

The work as a substitute consists of many meetings where you are expected to be a responsible adult and take your own initiative.
